Pregnant Pause in Portland

  • Beaverton Community Center 12350 SW 5th St. #100 Beaverton, OR (map)

After an extended run at New York's United Solo Theatre Festival, Pregnant Pause, a one-woman play, performed by Amie Cazel, is on tour!

Although Essie has mixed feelings about being pregnant — she’s a successful New York actress with a happy marriage — she warms to the idea, until she learns the baby has a genetic disorder. Haunted by her past, Essie examines her life’s work, worth, and the future of her family.

A collaboration between pro-life and pro-choice theatre artists.

Written by United Solo's 2012 Best Short Solo winner Kathleen Jones. Directed by Maureen Monterubio.

This play frankly discusses abortion.
